Survey Sites That Pay - An Update

(Updated 09/01/2010)

UPDATE: NFO/MySurvey now pays by PayPal as well as check!

In trying to get caught up on my online money efforts and also working on a side project I've been working on a while, I got down to the survey sites that I have been a member of a while and been either paid by or racked up a balance with, and discovered that in the time I've been a little inactive in the survey arena, MindField Online has made some big changes with lowering their cashout minimum from $10 to $5, is now paying via PayPal, and also has a new referral program where you can earn per referral. I thought I had written here about Mindfield before but apparently I didn't, so there ya go!

In light of that, plus the fact that I've kind of given hope of earning anything much on some others (Lightspeed, ClickIQ tho I need to get back there sometime and try some more, Pinecone which won't let me back in LOL, & Greenfield Online... Greenfield used to be a good earner years ago, but now I never get anything but sweepstakes entry surveys and the money surveys are always closed even when I've just barely gotten the mail)... I decided it was time to update the Survey Sites That Pay info on the site and consolidate it all again in a new post.

(By the way, it turns out that missing $8 survey money I thought I had coming from ACOP that I decided I must have been mistaken about IS there after all! I guess it just took a while to credit to my account. I requested a cashout on it yesterday so expecting that payment before too long.)

Several of these have affiliate programs that are worth signing up for, or give you referral links to earn on. You can earn anywhere from 50 cents to $2 per referral on several of the sites below.

Anyway, without further ado, here is the newly updated version of my recommended Survey Sites That Pay (or that I expect to be paid by very soon!)...

$8 Survey from ACOP - Woohoo!

In the Things That Don't Happen Every Day department (LOL), I had a nice little surprise last night when I qualified for an $8 survey with American Consumer Opinion last night. Even nicer - when I saw it was $8, I thought, "Ohhh no, this one's going to take forever," but I actually completed it fairly quickly. So basically I made eight bucks for about 10 or 15 minutes of effort. Now that I like!

I am bad to let my survey mailbox sit a while without checking it, and therefore many of the ones I get invitations to are expired by the time I get to them. If I was a little more diligent about it, I could probably make about $10-15 extra per month from most of the ones I'm registered with.

And American Consumer Opinion does indeed pay, as do all of the survey sites I have listed (click here to see my Survey Sites section). I generally don't get as many invitations from ACOP as I do most of the others, but when they come they're always bigger bucks than many of the ones I get all the time (and often don't qualify for) are. I haven't been paid by ACOP this year, but they've paid me in the past - and I'll certainly be looking forward to that $8 check and let you know when it arrives!

If you're not a member of American Consumer Opinion and interested in doing surveys, sign up today!

More on Survey Sites

UPDATED 07/09/2009: I am no longer updating this post with payment information from survey sites I am active on. For current information on active sites, payment proofs, etc., please refer to the newer post by clicking HERE.

I had pretty much given up any hope of anything viable coming out of my memberships with Survey Spot and Greenfield Online (the latter actually used to be a pretty good earner years ago), when lo and behold - I finally qualified for a Survey Spot survey today that paid $5!

Both companies tend to send out tons of survey opportunities that win you an entry into one of their drawings, but frankly I just don't have much time to fool with the non-direct paid ones.

So I guess given that I've finally had some luck with Survey Spot, if you're not already signed up with some of these it wouldn't hurt to go ahead:

Survey Spot
UPDATE: Paid by Survey Spot on 07/19/2008: $5.00

Greenfield Online
Lightspeed Research (not bad, just takes a while to rack up enough points to get payout)

Now, this next group I'm listing below - Toluna (formerly Your2Cents) and the three with banners - those you can count on much, much more to send good surveys that you'll qualify for and likely be able to cash out on at least every one or two months. I'm about to request checks from two of them - Opinion Outpost and Your2Cents - and have more money coming soon from ACOP as well, but NFO/My Survey is usually great and easy to hit payout with too.

So I DEFINITELY recommend signing up with these four if you are interested in getting paid for surveys and aren't already signed up. The other three above are kind of hit or miss, but this group here I feel is very worthwhile to stay on board with when it comes to paid surveys.

Great Survey Sites That Pay!

UPDATED 07/09/2009: I am no longer updating this post with payment information from survey sites I am active on. For current information on active sites, payment proofs, etc., please refer to the newer post by clicking HERE.

I've been promising for a couple of weeks now that I would list some of what I consider the "better" survey sites that do pay (or at least have decent bonus things for surveys, like good gift card options) and that I feel are worth the time and effort. Some of these I've been a member of for many years, some I've only recently started with but did some research beforehand into whether they were worthwhile or not.

After I've posted this today, I'll get back to reviewing the "pay to" sites once again daily - I've found some good ones with some neat stuff, and all came highly recommended by their members as great sites that pay - so be watching the rest of the week for some of those!

One more note - ALL of the below are free to join. Here we go...

NFO/MySurvey
- Also known as MySurvey.com or National Family Opinion, and one I've been a member of forever. You earn points for each survey, which can then be redeemed for cash (payable by check), prizes, or charity donations (1,000 points = $10.00 cash). The site is available to US members in the 48 contiguous states only, but they do have sister sites with panels in Canada and the UK. NFO/MySurvey is great and usually shorter surveys that aren't a big pain. Check it out!

Opinion Outpost
- I just recently became a member of this one but the opportunity to make extra cash here is very good. You get points for every survey you qualify for, and 10 points = $1.00 cash. You can cash out at a minimum of 50 points ($5.00) and request a check. Surveys have been coming in regularly and I am close to the minimum to cash out after just a few weeks, so I'd say that's a good deal! Check out Opinion Outpost today!

UPDATE: Paid 0n 06/11/2008 - $9.50
UPDATE: Paid on 07/10/2008 - $6.50

American Consumer Opinion - Another one I have been a member of this one for years as well and feel it's worth the time. You can win money in monthly drawings just for being a member, win money in drawings when you fill out a screener (a short questionnaire), and earn money each time you fill out a survey (a longer questionnaire). International participants are welcome! Their surveys usually pay more per survey than many, so check out ACOP today.

Toluna (acquired Your2Cents in Summer 2009) - I had been a member of Your2Cents for years, which was acquired by Toluna in the summer of 2009, and it's been great. You can join as an online panel member, a mobile panel, or both, and when you do qualify for a survey, the benefits are excellent. Every panelist who qualifies for and completes an online survey is an instant winner of at least $1, up to $5. Every panelist who qualifies for and completes a mobile survey earns at least $3, up to $5. Some surveys offer higher instant winner cash rewards. When a panelist attempts to take a survey, but does not qualify for the study, he or she is still rewarded with an entry to their $5,000 cash giveaway. There are other bonuses as well that you can read about in their FAQ.

UPDATE: Paid by Your2Cents (now Toluna) 07/12/2008: $5.00

SurveySpot - Also worth checking out and pays, more in later updates on surveys.

MindField Online

E-Poll - Another I've been a member of for years, as has my sister. Rather than cash, you take surveys to earn points for various gift cards to major retailers like Best Buy, Target, Starbucks, iTunes, McDonalds, Home Depot, Amazon.com, and many more, as well as some other redemption options. My sister likes to redeem hers in time for giving the cards as Christmas stocking goodies!

Pinecone Research - They do pay, often and quite well, and that's probably why it's so hard to get into these days. The company website is located here but you cannot submit an application from there. Here is a place you can sign up through IF it says the panel is open to new applicants in your country (as I write this it is open for USA and Canada right now). Good luck!
